BASE Charitable Foundation

Our Mission

The BASE Charitable Foundation supports first responders, their families, and the Bastrop County community through charitable programs, wellness initiatives, educational support, and community outreach.

Purpose

The BASE Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting first responders, their families, and the Bastrop County community. The Foundation provides charitable assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, crisis, or unexpected need. In addition to direct support, the Foundation partners with local schools, youth programs, community organizations, and charitable initiatives to promote safety, wellness, education, and community engagement.

Through donations, grants, and community partnerships, the Foundation helps fund programs that uplift families, assist those facing hardship, and strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community we serve.

Tax-Exempt Status

The BASE Charitable Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The BASE Charitable Foundation is a separate legal entity from the Bastrop Association of Sheriff’s Employees, a 501(c)(4) organization (EIN 90-0640809).

2026 Scholarship Program

The BASE Charitable Foundation awards two $500 scholarships each year: one for a child or legal dependent of an active BASE member, and one for a graduating senior from Bastrop High School or Cedar Creek High School.
